Ensemble Theatre's 2012-13 Season begins with CRIME AND PUNISHMENT, adapted by Marilyn Campbell and Curt Columbus, tonight, October 4 through the 21st, 2012.

An imaginative, dream-like adaptation of the beloved novel by Dostoyevsky. Had trouble getting through it in high school? This 90-minute exploration of sin, expiation, and resurrection makes for a taut and electrifying theatrical experience. The play is performed by only three actors, playing Raskolnikov (the alleged murderer), Porfiry Petrovitch (the detective), Sonia (the young prostitute) and many other characters in this famous story about a double murder, a police investigation, and the power of love.

All performances for the 2012-13 Season are at the ALHECAMA THEATRE 914 Santa Barbara Street. Ensemble's Theatre will move to the NEW VIC in Fall of 2013.

Founded in 1979, Ensemble Theatre Company (ETC) is Santa Barbara’s leading professional resident theatre company, housed at the Alhecama Theatre located in the historic Presidio District in downtown Santa Barbara at 914 Santa Barbara Street.
