(Oct. 27 9:13 AM) - As we celebrate Halloween and All Saints' Day, the temperatures are finally starting to drop here a bit on the Central Coast to more fall like numbers - but there's no drop in the variety of live theatre and entertainment opportunities to be found here to fit most every taste and budget!

(Oct. 19 9:28 AM) - Having recently returned from 2 weeks in the Midwest - I am reminded that in many parts of the country, this is harvest time when farmers are concerned about getting the crops out of the fields in between fall rains and before the first snows arrive. But here on the California Central Coast, the temperatures are still warm - and so is the hospitality in our numerous live theatre and performance venues!
(Oct. 15 9:06 AM) - Upon returning from MN & IA where I performed a couple of weddings, preached at a friend's ordination, and caught a matinee of the National Tour of "Wicked," the Central Coast was hammered by a storm that dropped several inches of rain, leaving thousands of households without power (erego the late posting this week). However - the shows must go on ... and so they shall!

Entitled THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER, the play will be performed in New York at Lincoln Center, over 100 other theaters across the country on October 12, 2009.

Many areas of the country are experiencing fall colors and cooler temperatures - and even here on the California Central Coast, a change can be felt in the air. But regardless of the change of season in the weather - the seasons of our various area theatres continue to provide a steady diet and wide variety of quality live entertainment for your viewing pleasure!

(Sep. 14 9:10 AM) - Well, with the first weekend after Labor Day behind us, most churches have kicked off their fall program years. And speaking of kick-off - the first full weekend of NFL games is in the books ... how did YOUR favorite team do? And if you're not into either the church or football scene - thank God for the numerous Central Coast theatres that offer so many live performance alternatives as they launch or are already into their Fall Seasons!
(Sep. 11 4:22 PM) - The Los Angeles Times reports that the Orange County school district where varsity athletes threatened to rape and kill the female lead actress of a student production of the musical RENT has now agreed to provide harassment and discrimination prevention training to all Corona del Mar High School students, teachers and administrators and other district officials, according to a legal settlement announced this morning. The Newport-Mesa Unified School District will also apologize to the former student.

Proudly presented by iShares, KOOZA will premiere on October 16, for a limited engagement under the trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top) at the Santa Monica Pier.
