After our last sold-out collaboration with State Street Ballet, we again join forces with the dancers for Stravinsky's explosive Firebird with world premiere choreography, taking you to the magical adventures of Prince Ivan and the Firebird. Our magnificent principal harpist Michelle Temple opens with an impressionist masterpiece by Debussy, followed by Brahms' third, about which the composer's friend and influential music critic Eduard Hanslick said: "…the Third strikes me as being artistically the most nearly perfect."

BROWN BEAR, MOON, CATERPILLAR

Bedtime stories, including old favorites and new tales, vividly come to life in Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia's A Brown Bear, a Moon, and a Caterpillar. Featuring evocative music, stunning visual effects and cutting-edge puppetry, this live stage show celebrates three of author Eric Carle's most beloved children's books. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is joined by a whimsical cast of adventurous animals drawn from the pages oF Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and the poignant story of a young girl's unusual quest from Papa, Please Get the Moon for Me.

From the author of All in the Timing and Venus in Fur comes a hilarious adaptation of the 17th century comedy by Corneille about a debonair and charming pathological liar who falls in love … with the wrong woman. His trusty assistant, meanwhile, has one weakness: he must always tell the truth. Told in rhyming couplets, The Liar is a laugh-filled modern twist on classic farce.
